Privacy

The plain version: we collect only what we need to talk with you and send you the things you asked for. We don’t sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it any time.

What we collect

• When you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to share. We use it to reply, and if it leads somewhere, to do the work.
• When you request a guide or Field Notes: your email address, so we can send what you asked for and the occasional note. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Basic site analytics: standard, aggregate information about how the site is used (pages visited, general location, device type), so we can make it better. It isn’t tied to your name.

How we use it

To respond to you, to deliver the guides and notes you requested, and to improve the site. That is the whole list. We don’t use your information to make decisions about you, and we don’t sell or rent it to anyone.

Who else touches it

A few trusted providers help us run things, and each only handles your information to provide its part:

• Our website is hosted by HostPapa, a Canadian hosting company.
• Email you send us arrives in our Microsoft 365 inbox.
• The guides and Field Notes you request are sent through CyberImpact, a Canadian email service.

We’ve chosen Canadian-based providers where we can, and depending on the service, your information is generally stored in Canada (some may be processed in the United States). We’re glad to point you to a provider’s own privacy terms if you want the detail. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails any time. You can also ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Email info@contournorth.com and a real person will handle it.

Canadian privacy law

We handle personal information in line with Canada’s privacy legislation (PIPEDA). If you ever feel we’ve fallen short, tell us first so we can make it right.
